Situated high on the ridge of Lighthouse Road, in the
peaceful suburb of the Bluff in Durban one finds Panorama House.
With fantastic views over Durban’s Harbour to the hub of the city,
the ridges of the Berea and on a clear day even sight of the distant
Drakensberg … and at night, you may ask … well it is truly
spectacular as the lights of the harbour, city and surrounding suburbs
light up like lights on a Christmas Tree … and during special
celebrations … there is no better place to be than Panorama House,
when the night skies light up in a festivity of fireworks!
Panorama House opens its doors as an exclusive self catering holiday
home with full housekeeping services provided by our housekeeper
Thuli, sleeping a maximum of 8 guests. Three large spacious bedrooms,
a full bathroom, separate guest loo, large open plan lounge and dining
room, fully equipped combined office and library, lovely entertainment
patio and fully equipped kitchen; Panorama House becomes your home
from home during your relaxing family holiday, or your busy business
trip, in Durban, KwaZulu Natal.
Panorama House is centrally situated and a short drive to all the
major attractions, landmarks and family fun activities. Tours,
transfers, activities, baby-sitting services, personal executive chef
services and even pre-arrival shopping for all your self catering
supplies can be arranged on request with Wendy.
The three spacious bedrooms at Panorama House, sleeping a maximum of 8
guests (inclusive of children of all ages), have been individually
decorated with all linen and bedding provided. Our bedrooms are made
up as follows:-
Winter Warm Room – sleeps 2 adults & 1 child -
1 x double bed and 1 x single bed, with ceiling fan, clothing cupboard
and sliding door onto the outdoor patio entertainment area.
Summer Fun Room – sleeps 3 children / 2 adults
& 1 child - 3 x single beds, with a ceiling fan, air-conditioning,
built in cupboards, with a selection of toys for the children.
Autumn Artist Room – sleeps 2 adults - 1 x double
bed, with air-conditioning and clothing cupboard.
All three bedrooms share one large spacious bathroom (with bath,
shower, vanity corner, and toilet) and a separate guest toilet too.
All bath sheets, bath towels, hand towels, beach towels and toiletries
are provided.
The housekeeper, Thuli will make the beds for you in the morning,
collect your laundry (laundry baskets are provided in each of the
bedrooms) and turn down your beds in the afternoon when she returns
your laundry to your bedroom. When making your reservation at Panorama
House please let us know if you require a camp cot – thank you.
A large warmly decorated open plan air-conditioned
dining room (seating 8 guests) and lounge (with TV, DVD machine &
CD player). A selection of CD’s & DVD’s are available too.
A large entertainment patio, with spectacular views over Durban
harbour and the city, encompassing a lovely outdoor patio set with
seating for 10 and a large Webber braai is provided for your evening
braai (please supply your own charcoal).
A combined air-conditioned office-library with a computer, ADSL
internet connection, fax / scanner / photocopy machine, work desks, a
telephone for incoming calls only and a wide range of reading
materials. There is full cellular phone reception at Panorama House.
A fully fitted kitchen, with a fridge/freezer, gas/electric stove,
microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer; with all cutlery, crockery
and cooking utensils provided.
Panorama House is fully serviced by our housekeeper Thuli, whose
friendly smile will welcome you on arrival. A real holiday for Mom, as
Thuli will take care of all the housekeeping duties through-out your
stay, from 7:30am to 5:00pm daily, including laundry.
Undercover secure parking is provided for two vehicles, with
additional parking for 4 cars in the drive-way.
24hr armed response security is provided by Blue Security.
